    Keep on Movin by Five.

Yukky boyband stuff, but the positive message in the lyrics is infectious.

Wow, thank you all so very much, I sense a big Spotify session coming up. I'm not overly concerned by lyrics and inspirational, just something that passes the dancing in the kitchen test whilst grabbing a coffee - like Leonard Cohen and Mahler ;-)

I am very grateful for your help, back now to 'Good Vibrations'.

    Hi Still
I would suggest adding a few comedy clips between the tracks - either from Audio Comedy gig CD`s, like Stephen Wright or Bill Bailey - whatever you know floats your friend`s boat, or corny classics like Monty Python Jasper Carrott etc. There are readings available on the Meaning of Happiness by the Dalai Lama too, but that might be a step too far?

    Music joy -
The Life of Riley - and a few others by the lightning seeds
Dont Fence me In - Cole Porter
    Bare Necessities - Jungle Book
    Some Fasntastic Placed - Squeeze
Accentuate the positive - Bing Crosby
Top of the world - the Carpenters
The Message - Grand Master Flash - an odd one but I:m told it works
Country Girl and Whats so Funny bout peace love and understanding- Brinsley Schwarz
    The Kids are Allright
  • Bedouin Soundclash - When the night feels my song
Infectious Grooves - Please excuse this funk up:

There are too many minor-key songs on this list! Elbow?! hahaha

    For pure, unadulterated pop-happiness...

The Nature Anthem - Grandaddy (ex-Coca Cola advert tune but Grandaddy make it cool - this is my commuting song that saves me from going postal).

All My Friends Are Insects - Weezer ("I have a friend and he's an earthworm, sometimes when it rains he come's out and we talk about our day.")

Smile - The Supernaturals (used by any lazy producer for adverts, but an infectiously upbeat pop song with "life's sh1t but you might as well smile" lyrics).

I Like Birds - Eels (Anything from Daisies Of The Galaxy is summery and pleasant, but this is about as happy as a tune gets - "if you're small and on a search, I got a feeder for you to perch on")

Imitation of Life - REM (Again, anything from Reveal is nice and happy and summery)

Afternoons and Coffee Spoons - Crash Test Dummies (how can you not smile during their songs?)

Mary - The Subways (upbeat and fast and kinda quirky "Mary is my best friend, she makes me my tea, she lets me stay around her place when there's nowhere else to be!")

Had never heard Foux du Fafa, love it!

JiMMy85's choice gets my personal jiggin in the kitchin vote but Wet Willie Band is a very strong contender. But now for the hard bit, which tracks to choose for my friend? You're all brilliant, thank you so very much, sometimes people get into very bad places but music can still reach through. Thank you one and all.
  • Jump Jump - Kriss Kross (comin off wack)
    Heaven - The Chimes
Molly's Chambers - Kings of Leon
Diamond Lights - Glen Hoddle & Chris Waddle (sminky pinky)
Disco Baby - The Fast Show
World in Motion - Doesnt matter who you are......great tune
