Promotion party on Monday?

Apologies if this has been repeated elsehwere, but we will be promoted at the final whistle on Monday if the following has happened:

- Huddersfield fail to win tonight at Leyton Orient;
- Huddersfield beat Sheffield Weds on Saturday;
- Sheffield Weds fail to beat Oldham;
- Charlton beat Oldham and Walsall.

In the above scenario, Charlton would have 91 points whilst Sheff Weds and Huddersfield would only be able to reach maximum 90.

Given that Sheffield Weds kick off at lunchtime, if there is a possibility of us clinching promotion on Monday then we will know it before kick-off making for an exciting afternoon for those of you going.

    Nice one New York, I cant be arsed to check but if you are right it will be worth watching the permitations unfold starting tonight

    I would like to Huddersfield win tonight as that will get them really up for the Sheff Wed game and within a win of them. If they lose or draw tonight they will know they are doomed to play offs this year and could take their foot off the pedal somewhat. Huddersfield can't catch us now already (IMO as we would have to collapse so badly) so best they win their next 2 games.

    Huddersfield can't take their foot off the pedal, I always say that you need to hit the play offs with form and momentum.

    Novak (Huddersfield) is on the BBC site saying they have to win their remaining 7 games in order to get "automatic"

    I think Hudders will beat Wednesday but drop points tonight. I could then see Shefti Kuqi scoring a screamer vs Wednesday on Monday and us celebrating in the sun vs Walsall.

    I really want to be there to enjoy the experience but the selfish part of me is saying 'please not at Carlisle so I don't have to endure a 7 hour coach journey each way' but if it is a strong possibilty come Monday at 17.00 then i'll no doubt be getting the tickets online after Walsall when I get back home.

    let's get real here, how could the massive sheffield club not beat Oldham and yet little old Charlton then go and beat them, doesn't make massive sense

    That's a bit arbitrary and misleading - if you look at form for the last 5 games, or the last 7 games, it would still have us finish top.

    Ha, ha, not at all, get in there and make the most of it. I did say in the "Dany" threads I hope he would come good and 2 x goals in 3 games is a fair return.

    As for the Sheff Utd comment it is a standing joke on any thread containing their name, it has been going on since mid season when they were coming good.

    I was thinking of that permitation last night LOL!

    It does sound a bit ATM but it's nice to start thinking of what could happen for us to get promoted when you get permitations like that.
