Can't seem to find the complete list online, but oddly enough Palace had the top 10 on their website.

10 - Bradley Wright-Phillips (Charlton Athletic)

9 - Robert Snodgrass (Leeds United)

8 - Kevin Nolan (West Ham United)

7 - Ched Evans (Sheffield United)

6 - Johnnie Jackson (Charlton Athletic)

5 - WILFRIED ZAHA (CRYSTAL PALACE)

4 - Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield Town)

3 - Rickie Lambert (Southampton)

2 - Adam Lallana (Southampton)

1 - Peter Whittingham (Cardiff City)

Pleased for those two lads and glad we do get a modicum of interest from the media.

And weirdly not anyone else in the top 50!

    Harsh on Wiggins, for one....

Good to see JJ's talent getting recognised.

i have the copy, its in may 2012 issue, there is no place for any more of our squad in the rest of the top 50. Although 42 clubs didnt even have a player mentioned.

Kevin Nolan's existence proves it's just a load of crap. He's been rubbish all season

It's odd combining 3 divisions into 1 list. Is JJ better than Nolan (playing in a higher league), is McLeod better than virtually all Championship and L1 teams?

These lists are ridiculous. Written by people who know sod all and based largely on looking at the top goalscorers charts.

Jackson and BWP would be touch and go in a Charlton's top 5 players list, so 6th and 10th in the entire football league is, quite frankly, ridiculous.

As Henry says - Mcleod 13th. Nuff said.

Produced by the magazine that stated we would finish nowhere this season ... 'nuff said

Obviously everyone in the sports media sucks up to Jordan Rhodes. He's scored x goals in x goals... So? Is his team top of the League? Only in the FLS' eyes they are.
Good for Johnnie and Bradley. Must admit, tad surprised that Brad is up there. I'd have had Solly in there instead, or perhapsKermit.
  • "Who are top of league 1 at the moment? Charlton? OK, who are their two top goalscorers? Jackson and Wright-Phillips? OK then, stick them in the top 10 somewhere."

This. Would be interested to see, if any, how many defenders are in the top 50

Isn't this the same magazine that predicted we'd finish 18th?! I used to be a subscriber until they published that at the beginning of the season. Absolute insult.

I've always rated FourFourTwo (and still do). They were probably justified in predicting us 18th considering we finished 13th last year, brought in a load of unknown players and had a manager who up until that point had been a major failure.

Yes, they've been proved wrong on that but then again I think a lot of us fans have if we're being completely honest.

What I like about FourFourTwo is that they don't just focus on United, Arsenal, Chelsea like most other Football mediums.

I think we'd only made a couple a signings at that point, so it wasn't that unreasonable to think a team in need of unheaval and who'd been that poor in the second half of the season in particular would continue to be on the slide.

I think had it been printed once we'd signed a few more maybe they would havelooked at the decent look of the players coming in and been top half at the least.

Agreed, great little magazine, always has been
  • I've always thought FourFourTwo is a terrible magazine, simply because of what they put about us after we won division 1. I remember that they said we had only made one signing that close season - Mark Fish (when at the time, we had signed JJ, Jensen, Kishishev... and actually had not signed Fish yet). And, anorakally(?!) of me, I was annoyed that they said that the previous time we had been in the premiership, we had beaten Southampton 4-1, rather than 5-0.

But that craziest thing, is that I remember any of that 12 years on. Honestly, I feel ashamed.

That was only one journalist's opinion at that time.

Bit unfair to trash a publication for all time - based on one article!

Where is Solly? I would've put him in ahead of JJ and BWP.

    Solly isn't a player, he's a right back machine
  • He is too small for them to see

Keep in mind that this list was voted for by supporters, not the magazine itself.

No Kermorgant, Solly or Wiggins in the top 50! Get the feeling that they've just looked at who's scored the most goals given that there's no defenders in there at all. Granted though that Whittingham is a class act.
