You don't need to be told that we lost this one.
I'm pretty certain that I remember that tall guy giving the 2 fingered salute, from The Covered End in the 1970's. He used to stand just in front of me, towards the back, slightly to the left of the goal, as you looked at the pitch.
I also remember the guy in front of him. Blimey we're talking about 35 years ago.0 -

Love that East Terrace pic. Also agree with Suzi about the 'losing' pic. Would be worth getting them to a Photoshop fiend for some restorative work IMO.0

Looking at that East Terrace with hindsight - I'm surprised we were allowed to keep it open as long as we did. With the possibility of holding 30k fans it's a bit of a disaster wating to happen.0

They both go by the name of Chris and that is indeed the location normally taken up in the old Covered End days. I saw the Chris in front a few years back at the Valley although his health was not so good. I went to school with both of them.You don't need to be told that we lost this one.

First time I've seen it from that angle. You can't really gauge the size of it by looking from the front. Definitely larger than the Kippax, Popular Side at Leeds Road and The Kop at St. Andrews etc.I've wondered for years how big the East Terrace was, that picture finally answers my querry. Cheers!
