Can't fault him on his support, not a fan of him personally but this thread isn't about that. Good on him for being so die hard

As I have said previously I'm not a fan of his ,but I had a surreal experience at Scunthorpe which has changed my view of him as a person .

On the Station platform I met him and didn't immediately realise who he was ,he chatted about the game to me as I might to any other random Charlton fan . We crossed the bridge together and he was very pleasent . I only clocked on when he was virtually mobbed by a group of fans and he travelled with them on the train but he gave them the slip at Donny when he went alone into first class.

It must be difficult for him as celeb that he would not have the same privacy as the rest of us and I was staggered to see him there. So I would now accept he is a genuine fan and that interview shows that Charlton means a lot to him .

Intriguing. In order to put forth a less than flattering statement about someone, I MUST have a personal vendetta of some variety, apparently.

well why would you bother with a dig at him about his support for charlton

what's your reasoning behind that when he was clearly at games during the least successful of our recent years

What does JD have to do to pass the Liam from Charlton Life "genuine fan test"? He could've supported the Gooners, Chelsea or Spurs but he's stayed loyal to his "local" team. He's a working fella, who happens to be a celeb, supporting his boyhood club! That is all Ffs! Not everyone's cuppa tea granted, but I'm not sure he really gives a toss what Liam from Charlton Life thinks of him, his work or anything else come to that.

I can't speak for Liam, but he could have chosen to support Charlton when his career was on the up, rather than becoming a director of Bournemouth.

OK, fair play that he has come 'home'. So we can forgive......but not forget

Does anyone remember - on the generation game when he got the whole Charlton team on? Or did I dream this?

It was actually the Brothers Lee.

Thanks for the link ... good to see
  • I don't like Jim Davidson as a comedian, totally not my cup of tea.

However, if anyone thinks that he gives a rats arse about what anyone else thinks of him at this stage of the game then they are very much mistaken.
