The Ferry

Has anybody used the ferry recently? I used it yesterday for the first time in ages, and it was really slow both in loading and in crossing. I wondered if this was a one-off, or whether they had new security procedures after the incident that take up a lot of extra time.

I use it every time I'm in the UK as I have mates in North Woolwich, they always seem to be pretty quick. Maybe they were on a "go slow" because of the Bank Holiday?

No problems when they were proper ferries like when I were a lad: (sorry about the size, I'll keep practising this IT lark!)

The ferry was always romantic; wind in your hair, smell of the river in your nostrils. Just glad there's no constant Chas n Dave. If you've ever been on the Mersey Ferry you'll know
