Morning all..........wow what a really anxious week at work I have had (like many others I guess) waiting for Saturday to come and now with just over 35 hours till ko the day is nearly here, but what is going to be our mood in 37 hours time? For me this side has re-discovered the 'aint losing' attitude again and with a potential of guaranteed promotion tomorrow (if results go our way) I can see us winning a very hard fought battle by the odd goal..so its a 1-0 or 2-1 addicks victory for me.
The match thread will be starting around 2 pm and I'll try and bring as much of the build up as possible, whilst trying to keep my nerves in check.........c'mon Addicks and c'mon Colchester..............the time is here and the time is now (nearly) for us addicks fans to start to put 5 years of 'hurt' behind us. One aim guys..............ONE AIM!!!
    Till tomorrow.........Cheers

1-0 again for the addicks. Creeping towards promotion and champions slowly but surely. Securing both of them at the Wycombe game!

1-0 to the Addicks is fast becoming the favourite scoreline so can see this continue, Brad with a belter, rock solid at the back....turn the screw on the steel city

One thing that would be frustrating would be if we were to draw and Wednesday lose.

We would be kind of promoted on goal difference, but not confirmed! Hard to all out celebrate an 'unofficial' promotion. I want us to absolutely thump them, Wednesday drops points and the loyal supporters who make the visit to go absolutely mental.

the goal difference difference isn't massive (to coin a phrase) and could conceivably be caught up if we lost our last three games 2-0 and they won 2-0, 2-0, 3-0 say.

Sorry but having a last minute panic here as my transport has let me down so now need a lift to Carlisle tomorrow. Anyone know of anyone booked on the coach who'se not now going OR any spare car spaces? The alternative is a frightening £103 rail fare! Help?? ta Steve 07854 387206

  • am i being thick...?

Carlisle have only lost 4 times in the 18 matches they have conceded first in this season, winning 5 and drawing the other 9 (JS) #cafc

Finding the first goal has also been critical to the Cumbrians, having not lost after doing so this season (JS) #cafc

but carlisle have lost 9 times this season...

are those three statements possible ..?

Weird thinking that this time tomorrow we could be a championship side, that said i think we'll do it at home to wycombe as i can't see Wednesday dropping points at colchester

2-1 victory goal 89th minute by Chris Solly. Wendies thumped by Colchester. :)

I'm v nervous. Have thought all season this would be the game because of the history of Carlisle (a). Then realised I wasn't at either of those but I will be there tomorrow - hope that doesn't change our fate!

And instead of pressing ears to radios to hear the score from Colchester, no doubt everyone will be on their smartphones following on Twitter or BBC...how times change....

If that happens, it might turn into the most frantic away support goal celebration in Charlton history.

I'm just hoping that the fans are able to make everyone aware of the Wednesday score throughout the game!
  • I wish I was going but left it too late to be affordable but I hope we go up tomorrow for the loyal supporters travelling up - I suspect the Massives may well drop points at Colchester but I think we'll only get a draw tomorrow too. Hope I'm wrong - but even if I'm not we're still going up as Champions... it's just when not if!

    1-1
