Big lump in my throat as I read that. COYR!
  • Brings it home doesn't it seeing it in 'print' as it were?

We could be back in the Championship in a little over 24 hours now!

I think the article was referring to our first season in L1, when we lost in the playoffs. good article.

As usual, totally ignored the fact he is one of the few Black managers in the league.

When will the media pick up on this instead of going on about football and promotion.

A well written and heart warming article from the very man whose television appearance on a footy show was lambasted by many on here for knowing nothing about us or the league we play in.

After your comment, I searched him on here. No one lambasted his previous article.

I'm sure he is a lurker on here I've corresponded with in the past.

If so, well done Dominic. Excellent piece, even for a stripey :-)

It wasn't an article as such,as I said in my post it was a footy program~an excerpt of which was posted on a thread here.I don't remember the name of the program but do the reactions it received.

    Love Dominic x

Aahh...as I wander lonely as a cloud (on the Leeds-Carlisle train), that makes me delighted that I decided to travel up for the game! And as I have been sitting for 5 hours, I hope no-one minds too much if I stand and revel in what WILL happen tomorrow!!

    COYR!! :-)

5 hours Leeds to Carlisle!?! Or this that just via Leeds?

I seem to remember that Leeds/Carlisle route is very picturesque.

From King's X Hugo. The Leeds-Carlisle section is indeed very picturesque and suitably slow. Last time I was in Skipton was while drinking during my Geography A level field trip to Malham! It rained then too, although the sun is shining as I near Carlisle now.

    Can't wait now! :)
  • Of course Settle to Carlisle is the stretch they always talk about but for me the whole trap up through the dales is wonderful, and at this time of year all the ewes will be out there proudly showing off their new lambs.

Plus you get the added bonus of passing by my old school which used to be next to Apperly Bridge station until Dr Beeching (may he rot in hell) took i away.

You're spot on mate. A lot of gambolling and rambling going on! :)

Got a little heady at Dent and was paying attention at Apperly. Arrived at hotel safely & about to down a nice beer!
  • Enjoy!
