Can I suggest an 24hr embargo on digging out old CL threads and ramming it down the throats of those who ever doubted Chrissy and the lads or even wanted shot of him last year? Let's enjoy tonight before we start scoring points off each other :-)

Just a thought like...

A year ago around this time there was undoubtedly a lot of hysteria - CP was the wrong man for the job, there wouldn't be the "significant investment" that was promised yada yada yada. We've all passed a lot of water since then but one thing is certain, we would not be where we are now if we had last year's squad.

It's taken a lot of hard work to get this far and there's still much work to be done.

All in all, let's enjoy the moment and start looking to the future rather than raking up the past.

Pleased to have been wrong. I doubted Powell and I repent my sins.

Maybe we should have a confession thread and absolution thread?

20 "Hail Chrissy's" a small donation to Demelza and we can all move on :-)

Oops! Too late, I'm afraid. Sorry.
  • Rightly or wrongly Powelly got a lot of stick at the start of the season, I guess people will say what experience has Powelly got in managing in the championship, it's another hurdle to jump/ mountain to climb.

Do you think as supporters we go over the top in praise as well as criticism?

I'm pleased for everyone connected with charlton, players , fans and directors, we've had to endure some toilet days, now we can draw a line under the dark ages in charltons history.

You sure it has to be 24 hours though? :-0

When you are far from home you miss the ability to just be able to talk to your fellow Addicks. So this forum provides such a valuable connection. Sometimes it gets fractious. Me, I'm an optimist but with a neurotic side. Sometimes the pessimists rubbed up my neurotic side. To all those, I apologise, especialy to Mike whom I had a little dig at. You were there yesterday Mike, respect to you fella, and you will have memories that will stay with you forever.
And then I want to say a big thanks to the optimists. Knowing there were people who saw things as i did, helped me believe. Especially when listening to a deliberately excitable radio commentary as we defended a one goal lead, which seems to have happened a lot. There are a lot of great posters here and i don't want to embarrass anybody.
But NLA knows who he is :-)
