Seems such a shame for him to miss out on the celebrations having been one of our stalwarts for virtually the entire season.

Couldn't he have travelled with the team anyway?

I'd sayit was a good chance for him to spend some time with his triplets.

Limited seats on the plane would most likely have prevented that.

What's the point of that? He's a father of triplets who are only a few months old, he can't play and there was no guarantee that we would get promoted against Carlisle. A long way to go just to celebrate something that might not happen?

Don't worry about Danny he'll get a chance to celebrate with his triplets and the League 1 title on the pitch at Hartlepool

Fell foul of the two Danny's rule.

Green was ill but that was a while ago. Assume just dropped and no room on the plane.

Someone said he took an early train upon Saturday morning....don't know if that's true or not.
But once again the seat availabilty on the plane would have been an issue if he was not going to be involved in the playing squad.

Apparently Green's had a virus, which is why he's not been around of late.

I don't think I'd be too popular with the Mrs if I had young triplets and went with the lads from work on jolly up.

I find the mother of twins to be equally selfish like that.....

Speaking of which, can you help with this dilemma: do I travel by train from Cardiff for the game on sat, with my wife ready to give birth to our first born at any minute?
Titles aren't one everyday after all....

If it's anything like my first born it'll be a fortnight late, so go for it.

its very rare for a first born to be born bang on time, but then again it's your first child. And we might not win the title on saturday...

I've been told that but still a bit risky? My suggestion on sat to call him/her Charlton to mark the occasion didn't help my cause....

If you miss it and it's a boy, he'll love telling the story when he's older. On the downside, you'll be in the dog house with the wife for the rest of your life.

Nah, they take hours to come out don't they? More than enough time to get back if needed provided you beat the rush to leave the game early B-)

Terrible idea ..... should be Rodney Charlton.

    Good luck by the way!

Cheers! I'm still undecided though. I was in bloody Sydney for the play off final too. Argh!!!!!
  • I reckon you could get away with Charlton as a second/third name, wish i had pushed it.
  • My son has Charlton as his third name.
