Having been successful in the recent Auction, today it was the turn of @SYoung11 and I to visit the Sparrows Lane Training Ground. On arrival we were met by Club Secretary Chris Parkes and immediately taken into the dining area to meet SCP.

Chris was very relaxed and chatted to us over a cup of tea before we headed outside to watch the players warm up. With a game tomorrow, training was fairly light and consisted of some 8 a side and also some work on patterns of play. The team selected for tomorrow (I can’t tell you who!), were then taken to work on some specific set plays, with staff members taking the place of Wycombe players.

The general vibe among the players was very jovial and there is clearly a very good team spirit. There was plenty of banter flying around and everyone was enjoying themselves.

We played a bit of head tennis with Rhoys Wiggins and took some pens against Sully and Ben Roberts before heading back in for lunch with most of the first team squad. Today it was a choice of chicken or pie with veg or rice and plenty of fruit and salad.

After lunch we relaxed and chatted to many of the players, who also signed a few autographs for us.

On leaving we were invited upstairs for a last chat with SCP in his office.

All in all, we had a brilliant time and if ever the opportunity to spend time at the training ground comes up, if I were you I would certainly take it.

A huge thank you to everyone at the club who made us so welcome today, also to Henry for organizing the auction.

    Here’s a few photo’s.

    I'll inbox you for tomorrow's team news : - )

Glad you had a good time and thanks for the write up.

Doubt we'll ever be able to get such a good prizes out of Steve Kavanagh again but you never know. Might catch him on a good day.

Well done for organising this. Looks a really cracking day.

Maybe they could do a 'Fans Day' in a similar vain and raise some cash for upbeats/youth set up?

Open day would be good but a nightmare to organise.

Sure we could do an evening visit for group but not when players are there.

I doubt anyone would fancy a visit to an empty training ground!
