We outsing the covered end every week but the acoustics mean the sound all goes onto the pitch not up to the NU.

Powell said at Bromley how great it was to be hit by the "wall of noise from opposite me". And how he wished the north would join in.

When he said opposite me he was saying when he faced the bench and was blown away by the noise from the upper west as we sing our hearts out and bang our flasks together

Well I'm back, and planning to sing from start to finish. And I'm sitting near Seth Plum, who has been singing solo for years.

I'll be in the JS, so not as loud as it could be.
I am the leader of the secret movement known as the ESU, you see.
I'm going to get a badge made and everything.

The lifers who were involved in the release of the first charity CD Valley Floyd Road and were on the pitch will know the song "we sing louder than you".

Biggest noise from the East Stand came from the woman who won the Jackpot!

    I heard that too hahaha

The East stand can be pretty dire. There is one guy 3 rows behind me though. He is screaming "Too deep" in the voice of a man who smokes 300 cigarettes a day from start to finish. Another one of his favourites is "Don't play headball boys play football, headball's their game" and at the last game "One last push boys, one last push!!!" to which someone next to me shouted "THOUSANDS OF ZULUS!" The guy that sits in front of him screams "C'mon" a few times a game in a voice so high pitched it would break glass (at the end of last season he broke the seat in front of him after several punches of the chair when he wasn't happy with our promotion chances)

Some pretty clever heckling of the linesmen sometimes though from the East

Ha ha - the heckling usually comes from a older guy who builds up his stature, takes a deep breath and let it go bollocking the linesman when he is within earshot - great guy that one! Block E Row H/J seat 110 thereabouts...
