Shed a tear

Unexpectedly yesterday during the lap of honour I felt a tear roll down my cheek, which being a bloke was quickly wiped away, followed by a large exclamation that there was a lot of dust floating around.

Did anyone else get a bit emotional? Would make me feel better if they did :)

Yeah because of the bright sun it made my eyes water a bit. Not sure if that caused the rather large lump in my throat though. Quite a day.

Yep! But I am allowed to cry as a 'girl'! I was so worried that they would drop Powell when they were throwing him in the air.

@The_Herminator.......I was in tears sitting at home trying to complete the match thread for the last 5 mins....then when the ref blew his whistle.....I broke down mate.....and then had to compose myself to complete the thread and I don't mind admitting it.
Its been one hell of a season.....even personally for me....I was offered a job as the season started and as the season ends with my team as champions I've heard that I'm wanted permanently......and I'm even now still emotional reading all the threads today......god knows what I'm gonna be like when I'm actually there in 2 weeks time......spare box of tissues anyone!!!!

Yep I stood there with my 85 year old dad, 22 year old daughter and reflected on the fact that we three had never seen a championship victory 'in the flesh' so to speak and never all together. Seeing my dad waving his stripy Charlton hat around with a big smile on his face was a pleasure to behold.
