  • Well done to our four lads but some elements of that team are laughable:

    1) no Solly?
    2) no Sheffield Wednesday players?
    3) Gleeson and Potter together at CM?

makes me laugh how the player who's being singled out by fans as the best of a team that will eclipse all defensive records is totally bypassed. these professionals show some of them can play but can't judge talent.
  • Ridiculous!!
Can't believe they were allowed to even have Evans in there! And It amazes me how little recognition Solly gets! Easily the leagues best RB

Well done however to Rhoys Morro Ben and Jackson fully deserved!

or maybe they just have a different perspective, don't want to sound like what some accuse all Wednesday fans of sounding like! Anyway I'm sure he must have got a fair few votes.

Well done Hamer, Wiggins, Jackson & Morrison.

  • Serious team would be:

    Hamer
    Solly Morro Batth Wiggins
    Quinn Semedo McDonald Jackson
    Rhodes Evans

It seems odd that solly and Hollands aren't there. Who voted, managers? Or a panel?

On Teamtalk, the review was written a few days ago and says Evans will be "hard to keep hold of this summer".

Do they not do manager of the year then?

I'm guessing Evens and the rest were chosen weeks or months ago but still. The PFA could still have "subbed" him.

Leaving that well done to the four Addicks and nice shopping list for SCP

Gleson, potter and Quinn all welcome at the Sparrows Lane on 1 July

  • The votes were obviously cast before Friday's verdict, but where do you draw the line?

Solly should be in there but its not the end of the world. None of us have seen Hunt for Huddersfield play week in, week out.

Let's focus on congratulating the four (yes, FOUR) of our players who have been selected.

Those who missed out have a League One championship medal coming their way, and very few have earned it more than Chris Solly.

I have a feeling he will take Charlton POTY too, which will more than make up for it!

The players would have voted some time ago and long before Evans' conviction.

Crazy that Solly's not in there but the voting may have been close and Hunt's got quite a high profile, having been around longer than Chris.

I understand from my Wednesday mate that Batth has been very good for them this year. As he's on loan from Wolves, however, they've got practically no chance of keeping him, as Wolves will need him in the Championship following Roger Johnson's inevitable departure.

can't believe Solly's not in there - I wouldn't be surprised if the PFA named the 2nd choice as they felt we had too many players in it already..............he should demand a recount !!

regarding Evans, all they had to do was put the 'third best' voted striker in there. It must have raised a few eyebrows that he was left in
  • Tbh though when you look at some of the other awards it's not suprising- ONE Reading player in the Championship team and Aguero beaten by Kyle Walker!

Obviously Solly being left out is surprising, but a Huddersfield defender making team of the year?? Their biggest problem for the entire season has been their tendency to bin leads because they can't defend for toffee. Rhodes, deservedly in the team, is what has kept them from losing. Just look at how many games in their unbeaten run were draws, and how often they were in front only to concede. I've heard very good things about Lowton of Sheff U so he can feel hard done by as well, but Hudds getting any defenders in is a travesty

Joke of a team... should have been: Hamer, Solly, Morrison, Batth, Wiggins, Quinn, Semedo, Gleeson, Jackson, Rhodes and Evans(replaced by Kermorgant)

Solly can consider himself unlucky but Hunt is a decent player.

Do they give a manager of the year award tonight?
  • No Solly is a joke.

Well done to our 4 who made it, but no Solly is a joke. I know he's only little but surely his contribution shouldn't have been overlooked. Yann hard done by - just shows how much he must have upset opponents! Have mixed feelings about Evans making the team

It's funny how he is probably the front runner for our POTY but doesn't get in the league's team of the year?

A few blades seem to be saying that Wilson got manager of the year, if this is true then I've lost all faith in the human race

Must be a wind up. Apart from the fact that manager of the year normally goes to the team that wins the league, Chris Powell's achievements include:
    - Massive turnaround in club fortunes
    - Making that team gel together so quickly
    - Breaking all sorts of club records
    - Quite possibly breaking the 100 point barrier and setting a divisional record for points
    - 3 times manager of the month award - that's 3 times more than Wilson or any other manager in the division (pending April's award)

It is completely and utterly inconceivable for anyone other than Powell to win it.
  • Gutted for Solly but chuffed to bits for Big Ben H. Top keeper.

Looking at this and the other divisions I wouldn't be surprised if voting took place as far back as january. Anyway well done to our players selected.

The PFA should have only named ten players and left Evans out.

If Chris doesn't get Manager of the Year I'll eat my hat.
