Music during celebrations

I was fortunate enough to be at both the Carlisle and Wycombe games, when we won promotion and the title. Both were absloutly fantastic occasions but I enjoyed the after match celebrations at Carlisle better as they did not play any music. Therefore the fans were able to sing the songs they wanted.
I do hope they don't blast the music out after the Hartlepool game.

Don't worry they'll be no music. It will just the PA "PLEASE COME OFF THE PITCH" "WILL ALL SPECTATORS PLEASE COME OFF THE PITCH!"

it was one of the first times that i heard more than a few people sing the red red robin. which makes it worth it for me.

Agree, there was another thread on this. I cant stand music after a win or in the case of Hartlepool when we get the trophy, we haven't had much to sing about recently so it would be nice to hear our fans, obviously this wont affect the East Stand 'cos most are already on the 177 to Woolwich by the final whistle anyway. ;o)

I agree entirely! Let the players hear the fans singing and celebrating, not piped music all thorough, please.
  • Agree that the post-match music shouldn't be over-done, however I'd have been a bit disappointed if they hadn't played 'We Are The Champions' by Queen at least once on Sat! :)

Since Saturday I have developed Mercury-Tourettes. I keep having sudden uncontrollable outbursts of "We Are The Champions"

Recorded music is for pre-match entertainment (& I use that word lightly)
Half time should be scores, a quick beer while talking bollix

Full time should be for fans to celebrate, sing our songs & show Chris Powell, the team & the board how much we appreciate their efforts over a long season...... not have fucking queen booming over the loudspeakers

That Queen song is pure bile. Would be nice to come up with something a bit more original................................

We are the Champions is a must. It's pretty much a tradition now. Red Red Robin and In To The Valley were both great picks. As long as it's songs of those ilks and not europop then I don't mind. The atmosphere won't be that brilliant for the Hartlepool game as we've already won it, compared to the mayhem at Carlisle.

Sorry but finally listening to 'everyone' singing 'Red Red Robin' will stay with me for a very very long time.
    Pure emotion.
    Thanks Glovey!

The music was great. I too keep bursting into renditions of 'We are the Champions' and Championes'.
