  • No one has mentioned about Luke Varney since leaving us has played for teams that have all ben in relegation battles Derby County only played 12 games (SURVIVED RELEGATION) Sheffield Wednesday (RELEGATGED) Blackpool (RELEGATGED) Portsmouth (RELEGATGED)
So on that basis.....er no thanks.
  • Hamer is already a better keeper than Carson IMHO as Scott makes just as many mistakes but doesn't come for crosses.

    1. Adomah or Coppinger from Doncaster
    2. Jobi McAnuff
    3. Ward or Okuongae
    4. Baldock or Rhodes but Rhodes is very unlikely
    5.Neil Eardley
also Cox but doubt he would come to us

Jason Pearce of Pompey would be good. Strong centre-half who can play across the back. Signed from Bournemouth last season so wouldn't be on astonomical wages and hopefully wouldn't demand too much and could shore up our backline

Got to be a Freudian slip Garry we've only conceded 32 in 44 matches?

It's not a great record no, but then Morrison was part of a useless Wendies backline. I think they finished even lower than us last season. Pearce was part of the Bournemouth defence that Wiggins was in last season. I'd say it's more indicative of Pompey's poor team as a whole that anything to do with Pearce's ability. If Powell's proven one thing this season it's that he can take an unwanted or underperforming player and make him a key part of a top side

Jay emmanuel Thomas? Emanuel Frimpong (loan)? Lee Bowyer?

    2.Wordsworth
    3.Shelvey (loan)
    4.Kightley
    5.Schlupp

Definitely Ephraim. I'd also love to see Parrett back at the club, think he's got some promise.
I would want better signings than those two.If we are thinking of Div 1 signings my realistic ones would be:

    Magnus O,Karleigh Osbourne,Stephen Gleeson,Anthony Wordsworth,Stephen Quinn.

    Realistic Championship signings:Jason Puncheon.Lee Barnard

I suggested Ephraim because he is better than League 1, and did well when he was with us, stood in well for JJ. Clearly a cut above that division and according to some good enough for the prem.

And I think he may be out of contract in the summer? Or did he renew?

He renewed for an extra season so they can either get a fee for him, or they'll need him if/when they go down, to play in place of Taarabt who will be joining PSG in the summer
