    He had a virus.

In the meantime Wagstaff and N'Guessen have played well and been scoring while Haynes, who can play upfront and wide, has returned to fitness.

with nine assists I'd say he has played a major part in this seasons success.

7 assists according to CL stats but yes he has clearly contributed. Then again Wagstaff has more goals and 5 assists from fewer games.

Yep, and Waggy played most of his games when goals were much harder to come by.

I have to say as I was always the first one to slag him off! I have been impressed by the way wagstaff has come back and changed his attuitude, he seems to have grown up a bit since SCP dropped him. I think Green will struggle to get back in.
  • Cyril davies You must be winding people up , should have more respect for charlton players , cp doesn't change a winning team unless someone needs a rest , green was playing until he had his shoulder put out on the pitch , then had to have treatment which gave wagstaff his chance , he will be back when he is ready and cp thinks he is ready . Knob.

Well yes we missed him of course we did...he was very much part of the league winning squad and played a big role on quite a number of occasions.
He didn't disgrace himself at all and can be very proud of his contribution....fortunately we had good cover.

  • its a shame green hasn't been on the bench with loan players getting picked over him. Waggy has been playing ok though, just wish he could cross a ball!!

just wish he could cross a ball!!

I doubt BWP agrees seeing how many goals he's scored from one of Waggy's crosses but don't let the facts get in the way.

You seem to get very sensitive with any negative waggy comments, i like waggy and at the moment deserves his place in the team, played very well in recant games, but i feel he lacks crossing ability, he is 22 and i'm sure in time will improve that part of his game. But in no way am i saying he isn't a good player and does not deserve a place in the team.

Not sensitive at all, just saddened that the analysis of a player who you yourself say is young and has time to improve is cut down to "he can't cross". Not just by you but by many others.

He can cross. He could certainly improve his crossing but all our players have aspects of their game they could improve.

But saying he can't cross a ball is just untrue.
  • Ok may be i put it wrong, he can cross, just could do with improving that part of his game and i feel he will at 22. Wish we could put green's crossing ability into waggy then we would have the perfect rm.
  • Well said Henry.

Crossing doesn't necessarily mean a floating ball to the back post, Wagstaff tends to drill them in which I consider much more dangerous.

I've gone off him since he protected hooligans who ran on the pitch at Carlisle. Green on the other hand apprehended a violent hooligan who encroached on the pitch of play and endangered the players' lives v Wycombe.

But we made I deal so I'll stick with Waggy's shirt thanks.

Waggy will improve. He has been Powellised already

The knob will fight you for it!
  • thought greens crosses were always a bit more of a threat as were his runs towards box where i always think waggy stays to wide and to often ends up boxed in by the corner! but i still rate him and yes he is impoving and does show some real skill and talent.

Waggy can't cross aswell as Green, this is probably due to the fact he doesn't cross enough. His energy levels bring a different type of winger to Green. Green puts in a lot of early crosses but doesn't have the ability to beat his man and cross. Waggy is 22 and Green is 23 so both still young and both have time to improve. I'm not sure they will both cut it in the championship but there's only one way to find out.
