    Is this the same bloke who scored an absolute belter in the 1981 FA cup final replay? That was definitely the most 'attempted re-creation in the playground' that year.

    I seem to recall a blatant penalty not being given in our favour when Andy Peake (or was it John Humphrey??) virtually had his shirt ripped off his back by a defender when he was clean through on goal, the referee judged it a fair challenge.

    I'm not bitter or anything...

    Really good player, gloriously shambolic in appearance which added to his charm. He was a good example of Lennies signing policy at the time, decent player, somebody showed faith in, and career re-vitalised.

    Yep, he took a bit of time to settle into the team and the first few months he was poor, but from there on he was top drawer.

    Unfortunately that goal is rarely shown on T.V whilst the Ricky Villa goal from the same game is shown and repeated time and again.

    Dead right (about Peake) albeit it was a different game where we got robbed at Highbury - earlier in the same game the ref (Alan Seville?) managed to spot a handball against Humphrey when his arms were virtually by his sides and of course couldn't wait to give a spot kick. A very big Charlton turnout was squished into the teeniest pen on the terraces, whilst Gooners on the other side of the fence were literally lying down on the terraces.
