Performance of the Season

Who, and against who(m?) do you think put in performance of the season?

I think according to LL's stats it is Solly at Chesterfield, but here are some other options;

Wiggins v Carlisle (h)
Morrison v Brentford (a)
Pritchard v Fulham (a)
Taylor v Sheff Utd (h)
Kermorgant v Rochdale (h)
Solly v Chesterfield (a)
Solly v Bournemouth (a)

I personally think that Kermorgant v Rochdale at home was the best performace. Winning just about every header against a monster of a defender and dragging us back into the game with a great free kick.

Any thoughts?

Thought Solly had some great moments against Wycombe. He was giving their LW nightmares.
  • Wiggins away to Hartlepool was up there for me, you could see there fans thinking, oh no not again every time he got the ball and ran at there defence.

Whichever match was the one where Kermo had to have his head bandaged and suffered something like three other minor injuries over the course of the game...immense.

Great call Solly v Bournemouth away. I cant think of a performance in a game that outshines the performance of the team over the season. They have been magnificent, so has the management team and the board. Us fans have been great too for the most part. WELL DONE CHARLTON

    Kermorgant v Sheffield United (Away)

A tight 0-0, Yann comes on scores with his first touch and then a brilliant assist for the second.

Morrison and Taylor v Huddersfield (Home) had their front players in their pocket.

Thought Solly was poor at Cherries, they attacked a lot down that side, got crosses in but no finisher. His passing was poor also. But that was the match that convinced me that Green's crossing ability is far overshadowed by his defensive frailties. CP agreed soon after and brought back Waggy.

Pritchard vs Fulham as it was a subliminal moment for me to seea guy plucked from non-league splaying passes amongst the Premiership players and holding his own, a very pleasing moment, that!

Jackson vs Sheffield Weds (remember that freekick)
Jackson vs Sheffied Utd (remember that freekick)

The season took off from there.

Oldham at home, he still won every header looking like that - you should have seen the other guy!
