when i was a little bloodnut (and im sure this would of happened to a few of us) i was busy staring at all the big and weird people standing by me on the platform during a day out with my mum, looked round for her only to see she was pulling away on the tube screaming and banging on the window!

Sorry, was too difficult to resist.

If it makes you feel better laughing at my expense, I used to work at Angel and got a tube heading towards London Bridge one night after a few beers, fell asleep and woke up in Morden. Not too big a problem as there was still a tube back again, so regardless of whether it went back up the Charing Cross or London Bridge branch I was still in with a shout of catching my last train home. Except I fell asleep again and woke up in Mill Hill East. No trains from there so night bus to Trafalgar Square and another night bus home - on a work night. (Too young and skint to afford a cab in those days)

You can't be a 'proper londoner' if you've never fell asleep on a tube and ended up on a night bus!

hate the tube. Near two hour commute to work now but the last ten minutes on the Jubilee line is a right royal pain in the arse.

This reminds me of a joke from my youth.

Man A to Man B - "I wouldn't stand too close to the edge otherwise the train will suck you right off"
Man B to no one in particular - "Come-onnnn train!"
