Seen Women in Black & Chronicle

Women in Black was terrible (imho), thought it was flat and couldnt get away from the feeling I was just watching Harry Potter walk around for an hour forgetting his wand.

Chronicle was quality, wasnt expecting much but best film ive seen for ages. Good effects

Going to see Project X later

    Saw Safe house.

6/10 was confusing. Denzel was quality but the tes rest of the cast let the film down along with the shallow story.

Ok so the next best films to see?

Recommendations and films your looking forward to seeing?!?

Problem with Denzel movies is, he has to be the smartest man in the room. Every time. No matter what type of character he is playing. I find it unwatchable now. Pelham 123 - Bespectacled, geeky, tank-top wearing train guy? Smartest man in the room. American Gangster - Psychotic real-life gangster/ drug-dealing killer? So much smarter than the cops he ends up doing their work for them. Name a Denzel movie from the last 10-15 years or before, and it'll be the same outcome! Bone Collector - paraplegic, bed-ridden depressed guy? Smartest man in the city.

Can't fault Denzel at all, I love his movies, I love the man himself. But I do know what you mean.

I guess the same can be said in reference to Hugh Grant or Adam Sandler always playing the same type of character in their films though.

Denzel - fallen - not the smartest being in the forest (will have to watch it to understand the reference). Wasn't he also outsmarted in training day and inside man?

Not overly gone on Denzel, liked a few of his films but the majority of his films don't really excite me nor interest me.

Gonna go watch 21 Jump Street tonight, first time in the cinema this year for me.

Long time since I saw Fallen, but pretty sure Denzel beat the demon in the end?! Making him smarter than a demon! Inside Man, he was indeed outsmarted. But he still figured it out before the credits rolled.

According to the bloggers who saw a section of The Hobbit, it's being shot at 48 frames per second, and it looks absolutely awful. Lots of panic occurring around this. It seems 48 fps makes movies look like a BBC sitcom!

I wish I could embed this gallery... it has all you need to know about what's coming up!

Sandler will not accept being the butt of a joke, not the way that the greats like Chevy Chase did. Best example is Click, where he has a five-beat subplot with the kid next door. He HAS to get the better of the kid every time, so much so it's a little embarrassing. Or pretty much every scene of Happy Gilmore - jokes are rarely at his expense. Although I'm not sure where Jack & Jill comes into this.

Really wouldn't pay much attention to the bloggers. Lets remember that shooting an entire film in 48 frames hasn't really been done before, everything that hasn't been done before from a technically standpoint doesn't "look cinematic". I'm quite surprised that its a surprise to everyone, I could have told you when i learnt that it was to be shot in 48fps it wouldn't look cinematic.

It's different, I'll wait for the final film and pass judgement on it then.

So don't listen to bloggers, do listen to you, don't mention bloggers or discuss movie until you've seen it. Got it! I'll do my best! Emoticon.

Anyone seen the trailer for Ridley Scott's new film? Can't remember what it's called (Prothesius?) but it looks a stunning piece of film-making.

Prometheus! It's a prequel to Alien, of sorts. That was Ridley Scott's plan, but as he wrote it he went in a different direction. So he says... Doesn't half look
like Alien though! Same world, but don't expect to see much of the classic Aliens though. Saw the first ten minutes a while back, best 3D I've seen in ages. Massively excited about it!!

The trailer in 3D looked brilliant. Definately had the 'Alien' feel to it.

just seen the ad for the new Jason Statham film ,called The Safe- the plot looks just like the film "don't say a word" where a girl knows the code to a safe but cant/wont say..................is there no originality anymore ???

    saw the documentary Marley today.
always great to see and hear the man however because i know most of his story the film was a bit dull, more something you would see on bbc 4 rather than a cinema though the speakers are far more superior than mine at home so the sounds were good.
the old footage of him playing was great, especially when he was doing a free gig in Jamaica to bring the two warring political parties together. that and when he played in Zimbabwe.

Just got back from American Pie, if you liked the first three, you'll love it. Not sure if its the best one, but lives up to the billing and very funny.

Stifler still as funny as ever.

I had no interest in The Avengers but the hype its been getting has been pretty ridiculous, not just from critics but anyone I know who has seen it has said it's meant to be great.
