Probably sounded like a good idea at the time but I bet the bloke who had to pick them all up had a few choice words about it after the match

Hmmm... should have had a competition to win a season ticket for next season - lucky number - result on the OS next week.

Impossible to hold your sheet in the air and clap the team onto the pitch at the same time!

Sort it out for next year!!

Excellent idea by the club. Good experience for all involved over the past two days.

Found a great site via google to make paper airplanes.
Made the advance one from the site, next season could we have 80 gsm paper, I think the paper was a bit on the thick side.

It was the printing on one side of the paper that buggered up the aeronautics.

"Oi, you nearly had my eye out there"

It looked good at the start, paper was never going to last till the presentation. I thought Valley was a lovely sight when the papers were up though so very worthwhile.
  • I went to the toilet with my whole rows bits of paper and missed the game, was to busy making origami.

We had a guy in West Upper Blck R row V who obviously works for British Areo space. He manged some way onto pitch from back of stand, with a long swooping flight pattern. Result in about 100 people around him giving a round of applause.

totally irresponsible, one of those planes hit me on the neck and i now have whiplash.

i have instructed the firm the bloke who used to be in The Bill advertises and now intend to take down the Mysterons and Charlton Athletic FC with my astronomical claim for compensation.

The collected sheets will be ground up and used to repair the potholes.

It was good to see the red devils in the upper west as well.
  • We need to up ourselves. I remember seeing someone at the Hong Kong stadium launch one from the upper tier and score a goal (at the Happy Valley end).
    .
I didn't noticea red one from the upper north, though, that impaled itself in the pitch.

Can I suggest you don't put it up for auction for a week or two. Let it increase in value first!!

    ;-)

One of the stewards got a pretty nasty eye injury from one of the paper planes

You know what happens when you give a charlton fan a piece of paper, remember brown sending off by graham poll, and Middlesbrough away with the ticker tape, the planes were getting better as the game went on. I suppose fans had more time to make them, also missed the second goal watching one.

Made much better planes than the Superstore brochures: they were as heavy as a Vulcan bomber and took as long to take off. :-)

I'm from the west stand and I stood up when rest of ground were singing stand up if you love charlton, I also clapped more than I normally do perhaps I should change my seat to the north stand (the rowdy one)

Was disapointed one didn't catch the wind and get some real distance although there wasn't much in the way of wind I suppose.
