Just got an e-mail announcing that he's won it. No surprise there (although I voted for Yann).

Well done Chrissy boy..............

Deserves it. He has been quality all season, better than John Terry some say aswell and for a man of just 5'3 thats quite extraordinary.

Deserves it. Yann has been awesome but Solly magnificent and gone from youth team player to one of the first names on the team sheet. He's quality.

I guess this means he'll be signing for Sheffield Wednesday next week then!

Congratulations to Chris - he got my vote.

The whole of the covered end tried to suck the ball into the net yesterday when he had a shot. It seems that us in the upper tier sucked harder than those "downstairs" as the ball went over the bar.

I think the stadium would have exploded if that went in........................

He did score against Exeter as the ball went over the line it just wasn't given.
  • So pleased for the lad, he hardly put a foot wrong all season and fully deserves this. Arsene - quite simply, you bought the wrong one but thanks anyway.

Absolutely delighted for him. For a player of his physical stature, he is hard as nails and an incredibly gifted footballer for his age.

Right back is definitely not a position that needs strengthening.

Well done Chris Solly. A proper footballer rather than an athlete. For me, Kermo, Solly and Wiggins have all been outstanding whilst Morrison and Hollands have been solid all season.Voted for Kermo myself and glad he at least came runner up. Kermo is my son's hero and my sister in law is well smitten. Never been one for individual player worship really but Kermo is a proper legend. Brave and 100% committed i've never seen a player that good in the air and i can see him, Solly and Wiggins taking the championship by storm next year.

Well done Chris, if he loose's an inch we could change his song to " 5 foot 2 eyes are blue chris solly's after you"
Ritche Bowman wasn't really 5 foot 2, was he!

2nd Yann, 3rd JJ - so difficult, I voted for Wiggins - feel a bit sorry for him and MM, but, that was a result that no-one could argue with - been great the lot of 'em

Congratulations to him - the fact that it seems harsh on so many other players in the team shows what an outstanding season we have had.

    Heroes, the lot of them!

Posted on the other POTY thread already.image

Picture taken before the presentation. I asked him if he thought he had won the POTY and he said "I hope so".
He made a great speech - after a bit of prompting. I did ask him to keep it short!

    I'm nearly 6'.

Either Solly was standing on a box or we have got to get him a new song!!
