    You just knew when you watched solly that he was going to be immense



    So glad he won it so glad we have some serious money to ensure we don't have to sell him


    When we do it will be for big big bucks

    defensively sound as a pound although does obviously lose the odd aerial battle
    but as an attacking threat nowhere near as menacing as wiggins or Johnny H was
    hopefully that will develop with him in time
    I had Yann as the main man but for home grown reasons can understand why Solly won it

    Deserved win for Solly - had a fantastic season which could only have been topped off with the fourth on Saturday!

    Sorry if ive missed it, but is there any idea of percentage of votes for top 3?

    Don't know if any would agree but Chris reminds me of the way Kenny Samson used to defend, he looks a similar build. I think he will prove his ability higher up and if he develops the attacking instinct Samson had he would be priceless.

    The thing that impressed about Solly is his control and balance, you can see that in the way he drops his shoulders, turns and leaves attackers for dead, that sort of class stands out when most defenders are all about lunges and hoofs. Perhaps we should be singing 'he's better than Lionel Messi"

    P.S. it's good to see a POTY winner dressing up for the occasion, by putting a jacket on, even if it was probably his mother who probably insisted :-)
