Don't think there's been enough acknowledgement of how much these have improved this season. We went about three seasons without scoring from one at all! We've got plenty this season - including the winner at Carlisle and two on Sat. After Sat, I also think Wiggo should take them more often!!

Not just scoring - we're conceeding a lot less from corners these days as well. Defending set-pieces was our achilles heal for the past 2-3 years

it does help that we now have not just jackson but stephens green and even wiggy who know how to caress a football rather than hoooooof it for corners

Good point Weegie ,particularly pleasing is the fact that we have more than one left footer in Jacko and Wiggy who can take them . Even Solly chipped in with some effective corners in one game.

We look dangerous from corners every game and I wouldn't be surprised if the number of goals we got from them was a Charlton record. Also direct free-kicks. Would be interesting to see the stats.

Our corners and free kicks have been a class above anything else in League 1.

All very true. For several seasons our set pieces have been so easy to defend against. Even poor teams usually have at least one specialist who they often depend upon too much. We now have half a team capable of delivering genuinely dangerous crosses / shots, and with good variety too.

Defending them, we're brave, well-organised, and don't give many away in dangerous areas to start with. Long may that continue.

Also helps you've got people who want to attack the football when crossed in, Kermorgant, Taylor, Cort, Morrison, Jackson and Hollands, all go for the cross agreesively.

Our set-pieces have improved so much. Our free-kick specialist last season was Llera. That's saying something. Yes, he scored a couple but they were all due to poor defending.

He was also a big threat when up for corners
