first time in ages i've felt irritable during a season but only because i wanted promotion so much. the relief after Carlisle was insurmountable & ever since have enjoyed every minute. don't feel flat at all...looking forward to the break, seeing who we might sign, seeing how many season tickets shift and looking forward to Champs football with bigger crowds, better away grounds and increased alcohol intake.

just so glad we're out of Div 1.

No, still smiling and looking forward to the Euros, Olympics and the fixtures coming out. Bit different for me being so far away though.

This. Also buoyed by seeing Dale Stephens in House of Fraser yesterday with his red swimming trunks, ready for a Baywatch-esque run around a Vegas pool no doubt.

    No new signings yet?

We had half a new team signed by this time last year.

    Sort it out Curbs Powell....!!

Quite glad the seasons finished to be honest. Been a great season but think i've reached saturation point now and found myself preferring to be out in the garden in the rain on sunday rather than watching the 2 Manchester games on tv. Got a big 5 a side tournament at work tonight then my kids side are in a cup final Sunday so still a massive week for me. Sure it will be all downhill after that though once it's England's turn in the euros and olympics.

having only moved six weeks ago and with so much to do I'm actually for once glad that the season is over. At least I can look back on it and reflect what a fantastic season it was and look forward to Championship football in the months ahead. Now, where did I put those paint brushes ?

I suppose this is an age and status thing. When I was young, free and single the end of the football season seemed like the end of the world. However now I am older I have other interests and things to keep me amused and busy.

Kick back lads & lasses, put your feet up in the garden (when the sun comes out), pour yourself a cold one and re-charge your football batteries for August.

I quite enjoy the close season each year.

No fretting as 5 o'clock approaches and we're hanging on by the skin of our teeth.
Long evenings, summer and sunshine, crash out in the garden, potter about or go for a long walk on the coastal path and beaches.

But then before you know it, August is here and the anxiety kicks in again.
    And round we go again.

    THIS

Even though I'm sure I'll be bored shitless mid June time, bring on England failing at the euro's.

Bit flat TBH but looking forward to attending some Kent matches , watching the Olympics ( still waiting to see whether our elderly friend in LA has managed to get us Opening Ceremony tkts!) and growing my nails again.

All good things must come to an end....and what an end it was. Looking forward to the cricket and the Euros now.
