    I woke at 2am with such bad burning pains in hands and feet I almost called an ambulance . I can just about type this on an iPhone .

    Rang Doctor and he just said to carry on taking ibuprofen . Could be as much as another week like this.

    Only so much Jeremy Kyle one can watch

    Antihistamines and a long lie in a cool/coldish bath may help. Full sympathy here as well as Curb_It has confirmed it's not a man flu thing. Nasty virus. I suppose it's of no help to know that you have probably contracted one of the less common Cocksackie strains. :-(

    We asked the doc about antihistamines but he said as its not an allergic reaction but a virus they'd be no use. The burning pain has stopped for the first time in three days so hopefully I'm over the worse now.

    I just don't look too pretty but no change there I guess

    Back to work for me tomorrow

    Don't get paid when I'm not in so even though I'm far from 100% needs must.

    Let's hope it doesn't happen again as it's knocked the whole family for six (apart from the super strong Mrs)
