Design the banners for 07/08

OK, with a couple of weeks to go the new banners need sorting for next season, so time for a design competition.

We need designs for the following, with a vote for the best three which will go up next season from the Scunnie game.

The slogans which need designing are

"Live, love, laugh and be happy"
“from a Jimmy Seed grew this”
A Charlton Legends Banner
‘7 grounds, 1 Home. The Valley’
‘This is the Covered End’
‘Summers 47, 64, 73, 78, 81’
'The pride of south east London'
'SE7 Heaven'

The banners are 6m wide by 2m high, and the designs need to either by whisper, or by email by next Wednesday 1st August, with the Best 8 put to a vote, and will getting the company to produce and install the winning 3, in the week before August 11th.

    Time for a little change, the old ones will be kept and used again.

    We always said they would rotate over time

    Will be good to rotate them. Maybe get one signed by the first team and auction it off.

    not really the time for the debate now, but i really don't see the need to rotate them to be honest.

    I doubt official ETCYT banners would be sanctioned by the club, as they might be deemed too inflammatory.

    No reason why people can't make their own specially for the Palace game though.

    Might be doable, but the ones at the back of the North upper will be chaging hopefully for the start of the season.

    So stop carping, and get designing

    A number of people I have spoken to have asked for 'Siddarn' Flags, I am sure Greenwich council would stump up for that one.

    is it just me or is no one quite getting what rothko is asking

    he wants designs for banners with the slogans on the top of the page not slogans for new ones.

    The ones last season were great, I'd be happy to see those stay for all of this season - at least - tbh the new suggestions don't sound as good

    I think a B-MOB banner is a fantastic idea... would the club sanction it though?
