Surprised that no one has posted this.....

Earlier this evening Chris Powell phoned LBC 97.3 Radio from Las Vegas in the Good Old USA. He said the club owner had paid for him and the team to visit the city. CP said that there wasn't much going on there so him and the lads will probably visit some museums.

LOL. I think the trip to Vegas might have been mentioned a few times already on here. ; - )

There is always the Pawn Stars 24 hour gold and silver shop to visit

Err, he's a married man so maybe not the thing to be putting on here, even as a joke.

Exactly. Because now that Jay has put it on here, it's definitely happened.

My friend's son has been on a work scheme or similar this season. Being an avid Charlton fan he has been on seventh heaven. The club and the players and all the staff have been great toward him and they paid for him to join the trip and as we have been promoted, he will get proper employment next season.
It is so nice to get this sort of feedback.
  • Heard that earlier was great stuff. I called up last week when Morts was on there after the Hartlepool game to say a masssive congrats to CP and everyone. Was on for about ten seconds then the host cut me off cos of my dire mobile signal.....still they spent the last fifteen minutes of the show talking about us which i was happy with considering chelsea just won the cup. ;-)

That's probably my mate your talking about. His been doing a work placement with the physio team I believe. Travels to every away game on the coach/plane. In the dugout, in the changing room all season. Sparrows lane everyday. He went to Spain preseason and now in Vegas. Lucky bloody b*gger

Hope he goes on to full employment next year. Not a bad job spending every day with Chrissy p and co especially as his an addick himself.

    Mucho jealous :(

Talking to Matt Taylor in the week - he said Waggy is massively under the thumb with his Mrs but thought he was going to Vegas

The players have told their other halves that it's a sponsors trip and they couldn't say no

Matt also said he wasn't going for the gambling and expected to be pissed for the entire trip

I was talking to Alex Dyer and a couple of others on the management table at the POTY last week and we discussed the Vegas trip. I told them they should try the rides at the top of the Stratosphere tower and described the buzz but they did not seem too keen!

Useful to know before you step out!

  • Who doesn't go to museums when in Vegas?

Besides the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, what else is there to do?
  • Think the rides at the Strat are gone now :-(
One of my little disappointments. I was sitting in the ride ready to go when it was closed due to hide winds. Maybe, it was the curry the night before.

Yeah I'm sure they're all looking forward to the rides.

There's the Liberace museum there, I imagine they'll take in a few shows. A trip to the Grand Canyon or to Death Valley perhaps? The perfect place to get rid off unwanted players :-)
