Now The Season Is Over, I'd like to ask a couple of Questions Not Club Related: I Run a successful Independent Travel Agency and am interested to know what Charlton fans booking trends are:

1. Have you booked your 2012 Holiday and if so How long ago, and where to?

2. Haven't booked yet as want too watch Olympics?

3. The Recession has hit hard and can't see us having a holiday in 2012.

4 Will book when Olympics and euros over, hoping for last minute deal.

5. Do you use a Travel Agent or book on-line and reasons for doing so.

6 Would you book with Malvern World Travel (our Agency) if we could offer you a little reward for booking with us?

You can e-mail at malvernworldtravel@hotmail.co.uk or call me on 01684 562406 if you need help with your plans. Specialise in Turkey and upmarket, Tailor made, but also do UK as well. If It Travels it's us. we look forward to your support fellow Champion supporters. http://www.malvernworldtravel.co.uk/

So recession isn't hitting you then, 4 feckin holidays, gotta say the missus does ours and it is usually on line now as it appears so much cheaper. We holiday in February usually due to nature of my work. Sad state of affairs really booking on line as it kills high street travel agents, and same with other businesses.

Already had my 2012 holiday. Egypt. Usually book on line now as like nss says it seems cheaper. Won't get away outside the uk now until next year now. Will remember this thread though. Good luck.

We have the use of a Villa in Villamora, book flights on line along with transfers, I guess if I could give somebody the dates and where and they could do the rest it might be of interest but at what cost??

Always book early, book flights direct & villa seperate (lucky to have friends who have villa's overseas) find its the best deal, don't do hotels, like peace & quite.

Isle of Wight festival last year. Wife wants to get away for a short break but we haven't decided where or when yet. We also need to factor in someone to look after house / dogs.

Split up with my girlfriend two or three months ago. Have had a tough time in general since xmas. We were planning to go away (she had family living in Cyprus) but obviously I wont be going now. I am desperate for a holiday however. I have been looking online and cant seem to decide where i want. I have actually been loking at Turkey actually, OluDeniz or Marmaris. Need it nice but cheap as poss. Would go with one other person, probably a female friend as all my male mates are going away with thier birds or going on lads holidays that are already booked and paid for. I will probably try and save a few hundred quid and try and book a last minute deal to somewhere hot but relaxing for a week

St Lucia in October. Booked with BA Holidays so a combination of the net & over the dog. Will probably do something else too. Either a golf weekend or a weekend jaunt somewhere before Xmas. I'll do that online too.

Go away 3 times a year me the wife and two kids. always book about 1-2 months in advance on the spur of the moment decide where we are going and book, I tend to look it up on Internet then phone up the company as you can get them to knock the price down more by saying such and such said they can do it for this. I would consider booking with you as I'm open to the best price offered.

Booked a week away just before the Olympics, only to France and driving over and staying with friends. I book online but have not taken a package holiday for many years, but might well take one later this year or next. (If the price is right)
Any offer would entice me :)

    1. Have you booked your 2012 Holiday and if so How long ago, and where to?
Went last week to Llafranc in Spain. Booked it about February time.

    2. Haven't booked yet as want too watch Olympics?
Probably wouldn't go away then anyway as it's normally too busy/expensive

    3. The Recession has hit hard and can't see us having a holiday in 2012.
    N/A

4 Will book when Olympics and euros over, hoping for last minute deal.
Could book something else for later in the year but lacking in ideas

    5. Do you use a Travel Agent or book on-line and reasons for doing so.
Sometimes do but sometimes it's cheaper to do it ourselves.

6 Would you book with Malvern World Travel (our Agency) if we could offer you a little reward for booking with us?
Would book with anyone for the right deal to the right place. All other things being equal would prefer an Addick to benefit from our booking.

Too much bloody work. Have been dreaming of a holiday for 3 years now.
Prefer indipendant travel so do all my booking online or organise locally after i arrive at my destination as travel for me is mainly about culture.

I book a lot of flights/hotels for business, so I find it easier to do it all online. My holidays are booked online too. It must be well over 10 years since I used a travel agent.

  • Never used a travel agent.

    Normally book online/by phone.

Not going abroad this year, just doing a cottage for a week and going on a on good 'un next year.

Bit restricted as the missus is a school escort so have to go in school holidays or she gets the sack.
