Guaranteed outfield starters

Strange isn't it, week and a half to the start of the season and we're normally discussing one or two possible options, with most of us knowing what 8-9 of the starting team will be.

But i'm struggling to say definatively one outfield player that, yes, will be definately starting against Scunny. Jerome Thomas maybe if fit.

Who do you think are bankers to be starting, and in what positions ?

    The above are 100% starters IMO Only 4th man in midfield I am unsure of.

    agree with that - Semedo or Holland to complete the line up, probably play safe and go with Holland for the first game.

    I'd agree with Paul on this, only contentious issue being the other midfielder. One from Holland, Semedo or Sinclair

    So if fit, you wouldn't pick the two players we really spent our funds on so far this summer, McCarthy and Varney ?

    Varney is injured & McCarthy I have not seen more than 10 mins of.

    I wouldn't say DON'T pick them but from what I saw on Saturday I'd guess most of the starting XI will be similar. Varney is injured isn't he? McCarthy is a possible starter but we spent more on Diawara and Magic and unless one of those leaves then I recon they will be first choice.

    that's my point mate, week to go to the season and we've no idea at all what if fit our best 11 might be, or even if some are any good !

    The way Pards has talked about McCarthy when signed, and that he's a on the pitch leader, will get him the start.
