Always prefer a collar, like the red variant and really like that we have a good deal, in hard times, with a local business who are long-standing supporters/suppliers of the club!

Think it will look decent once the gold badges and players names/numbers are on the back so I'll say like

Hey guys does anyone think we're taking this a bit too seriously?

Chill out people, only another 10 years to wait for another extended Bank Holiday! :-0

Like someone said, a company atually making things rather than propsering off the back off people betting or borrowing against assets they don't have. The bloke's a supporter and probably very proud. Good luck to them.

  • Maybe the club will have a rethink about the lettering on the shirt?

It's a shirt. Like, dislike, whatever. What matters most to me is the income to the Club. If the Club say this is the best deal they could get then that is good enough for me. In general footie shirts are naff. Don't like, don't buy. As for making us a laughing stock, have you seen other shirt sponsors in the Championship ?

    LIKE.

Stop being so boring and moaning about everything, people's not happy unless they're moaning are they?!

  • It does look non-league but it might grow on me over time. I won't be buying it anyway because it's a one year deal. I'll only buy shirts with a 2 year expiry date.

The sponsor hasn't swayed my opinion of the shirt either way. It's a bit of tat polo shirt with a tick.

Not many teams are playing in bespoke kits in line with their tradition and heritage these days. All the new Puma kits are of the same template (Coventry, Cardiff, Preston all basically wearing the same shirt). Adidas rarely ever do bespoke outside the Prem. Sometimes not even in the Prem (Swansea last season). Most kits these days are bland, and yes, the fact that ours is a template teamwear shirt means you could easily see the same design in the Blue Square South.

But how much does it matter? The club keep an element of traditional CAFC thinking by going for local firms, or firms with a local presence (KRBS), rather than pay day lenders and gambling sites. They also keep one logo on the shirt, rather than a different one on the back and another on the shorts. You have to commend the club for this.

As for who sponsors us (having met the club's 'family' criteria) does it matter?
Why would they put Andrew Sykes Group on the shirt when no one would know or bother to check what that is. You go with your strongest brand, which is Andrews Air Conditioning.

People wanted The O2 because its known. Strange really. It's not like The O2 would then have paid us supporters to go around wearing their name.

I guess we've got used to having either unique shirts or because they came from an unusual manufacturer (Quaser, Joma) virtually unique. How many of our recent shirts have been the same as somebody else's?

I see Palace have gone the other way to us, going from a generic Nike shirt to a bespoke design (made by Avec/Just Sports)
