    No mate 7 a-side

    I belive it goes 11 a-side at U10s?

The thing what the boys and most parents I know are pissed off about is the FA making it uncooperative until U13s ?!?!?!!?

So no league tables and no cup finals only friendly's!!

I remember playing in cup finals for London boys at under 7s/8s The world of football has gone barmy!!

I can see you on the sideline now Tel.

I think it's uncompetitive. The Spanish swear by it.

Terry, enjoy & good luck to Alfie. Trust me, you'll find academy football more than competitive enough!! You've got a lot to look forward to....

Absolutely, in junior football in the UK we place too much emphasis on match results. You could make a strong argument the only place the final score really matter is a seniors first team, below that it's all about learning your job and getting fit.

Just a quick update on Alfie, A few weeks ago Alfie played for Arsenal's under 8s Vs Liverpool and done very well winning 4-1 4-0 6-1 with Alfie scoring 2 and assisting 6 then last weekend he played against Everton who were different gravy!! Straight after Alfie was offered a 1year contract with Arsenal 5 months early then they should which I'm chuffed about! Now the ball is in Charlton's court!!

By my reckoning the lad will be moving to manchester in about 20 years, which gives you plenty of time to prepare.
  • WOW ! Well done, Alfie !
