From my (limited) understanding of our board structure....TJ and MS are just faces for the front man and whilst rich by man in the streets standards their collective wealth wouldnt fund a club without the huge investment we were receiving from their backer.
If how ive read it the backer is off down the road now I cant see how a couple of million quid would go far. Clubs would sense we were up shit creek by trying desperately to offload our best players so will offer a fraction of what they are worth and even if we did get full value that cash would just make a small dent in the running costs of a club and paying wages of playing and non playing staff.
That's before acknowledging that the majority owners probably would bail and count their losses rather than hanging round to see their money leaking away just trying to stand still. Murray and PV stayed when it hit the fan years back but they were sworn addicks. Different ball game now.

To be fair, I'm not sure that many people are having a pop. It's just that, for those who have no internal contacts (especially at board level), all this deeply worrying information seems very much at odds with what we see in terms of actual events -- appointment of numerous youth team coaches and Mr Prothero, for example. It's all quite confusing and very, very disturbing.0 -

It seems that on Monday some money went in but only enough to ease the immediate problem not solve the problem.
So;
Either you are part of the solution or you are part of the problem.
So stop blaming and start thinking about what YOU are going to contribute, be that time, skills, money, connections or all four.0 -

In the short term, I fear that's all we can do. In the medium - long term we can try to form a Supporters Trust that gains us access to the boardroom and participation in financial decision - making. Not a great answer, sorry.

The situation seems dire as it is - I don't get why some people are trying to make it worse by infighting and accusations of 'scaremongering' etc. To me there could be the reason could be:
1) These people genuinely think that airman and prague are on a wind up, which to my mind is just ridiculous
2) They don't realize that everyone who has contributed on here has done as much as they can while obviously trying to protect their own jobs or those of their sources
3) The urge to reject negative news is so strong that all logic and reason is abandoned and those contributing are called 'scaremongerers'
4) As plaayer mentioned, these people are in with the board/have a personal agenda as to why they would like to prolong the infighting instead of paying heed to prague's suggestions of organizing as a unit
As carly burn said, I'm waiting to hear SCP's next comment - if it sounds like he's sticking around then most of us would heave a huge sigh of relief, at least in the short term.0 -
Some clarity then please form those in the know:
1) Did PV walk because he was unhappy with the goings on, did he walk as that was always the plan or was he pushed?
2) Are we really looking at going into administration if things stay as they are?
3) Who or what is the biggest issue at the moment and is putting us in this position?
4) Why have we made so many appointments to our backroom staff and academy staff if we are in such a state of uncertainty?
5) How likely is CP to walk if things stay as they are?
