Head in the sand

This site has never been so depressing, cannot take anymore doom and gloom, it may be true it may be exagerated? but now until something comes out officially good or bad I am burying my head in the sand and not reading this site, hopefully then I can retain my sanity.

    It is not the site that is depressing it is the news coming out of the club that is depressing.I think the only way you can deal with it is to not bury your head in the sand but to face it and to remain a committed Charlton supporter.It is not much but what else can we do?

    I took the same approach a week or so ago.

    Things looked up, we added to the back-room staff, so looked a bit more optomistic.

    So @ellisaddick I will be following you down to the beach.

    I've never understood why people need to advertise the fact they are going to stop reading the forum, are hoping people will beg you to stay?

    Imagine what CL would be like if everyone started a new thread, everyday, stating they are going to read the forum. Madness.

    We go back a long long way mate.....l'd love to have that meet up we talked about and talk about old school days back in the 50's and 60's.
    Can perfectly understand you're feelings right now.....each of us will deal with it in our own way......especially as we get older it gets harder to take and deal with.
    We've both been around at the club nigh on 60 years man and boy and you don't need wet behind the ears self proclaimed judgementalists to tell you how to behave. I know you to be a nice level headed fella who wouldn't be given to knee jerk reaction.
    Don't take any notice of anyone who thinks they have the moral high ground you do whatever you like mate.....hope your'e still getting out and about....us old'uns need to do that you know.

    Im gutted. Thought we was turning things around. Suppose it was all a bit to good though. Last season with pretty much perfect, on and off the pitch.

    Expect the worse, can only get better.

    We will be playing in the Championship in a few weeks time, let's all try and keep calm. Has anything actually happened yet? Have Solly, Kermorgant and BWP been sold?

    The problem is saga is that without security powelly could leave, and then if players stop getting paid everyone will leave ...

    This Kevin cash have left us with no time to sort anything out ... He has just upped sticks meaning unless we get a knight in shining armour then we will have to consider the best administration strategies available...

    Worst case, we end up fielding a team full of fans and are back in league one next season...

    Surely the champ tv money and the ticket revenue is enough if we sacked everyone else?

    Come peeps, this is Charlton we wouldn't want it any other way would we? Can I play CB........joking aside I have a feeling someone will ride to our rescue, unfortunately it might mean fighting relegation for this season.

    I never meant the forum just the thread, I would be lost without the forum

    I had been doing the same but just spent a few hours reading that statement one. As of yesterday we should be optimistic.

    I do have the feeling that the longer 'it' goes on, the bigger the problem is perceived to be by a lot of the people on here.
