I'll settle for 21st but obviously hope for better....0

The squad we have will graft. I'd say 8th-10th.0

If we sign baldock and that calibre of player, 2nd. Although that's being slightly optimistic I think we'll surprise people this season.0

1st in South London
11th in the championship. KTF!0 -
Mid table and I'll be absolutely delighted with that.0
-

With the squad as it is now, a relegation battle that we will just win, with 2-3 quality additions, top half0

I reckon you'll finish in a lovely Millwall -Palace sandwich.0
-
Top 6 - well above the other South London clubs.0

Always wondered where the term 'shit sandwich' came from !Bunny said:I reckon you'll finish in a lovely Millwall -Palace sandwich.

A few seasons ago I and Son of Selhurst, unlike Matt a decent sort of Galzier, had a bet.
£20 with whose ever teams finished lower in the league paying to the other's chosen charity. Demelza for me, Geoff Thomas Cancer fund for SOS.
I lost but hey it was and is a good cause.
I know AFKA tried to arrange something similar with one of the Glazier forums but the kept delete the threads.
I wonder if SOS is still around and fancies it again.
And before you ask, no, offer not open to spanners.0 -

Double 1st, scarf London & the championship!0

Damn the autocorrect. Sarf London not scarf!!0

8th, despite the lack of signings and supposed issues around the club, I have a lot of faith in Powell and this group of players. Playoffs not out of the question but I think it would be a bit of a stretch.0

Ha - now you have a reference point. Bit harsh on your team though, AFKA.AFKABartram said:

If our key players from last season Solly, Kermo, Hollands, Wiggins (the list goes on) stay and we bolster with 2-3 who enhance our abilities, then I'd hope for 8th-10th. If we see exits this summer or winter for any of our core 1st team, would be happy with 18th-20th.0

I think it is imperative that we get off to a good start which will then make or break the season. Our first 6/7 games look really tough but if we can pick up a result at an expectant Birmingham with their
many new players then it could build from there. Might need a new striker and a midfielder in the mould of Mendonca/Holmes from 97/98 but I feel postive it might be playoffs.0 -

Obviously applied to Bunny's comment but regarding the actual origins - AFKA you already probably know this but for those that don't the term comes from the glorious adage -
'Life is like a shit sandwich - the more bread you've got the less shit you eat'
This is probably even more appropriate now than when I first heard it in the late 1970's.0 -
Unless something goes badly wrong with the fixtures at the end of the season, we'll finish at The Valley.0
