Great player. Shame his injuries brought him to this point. A one team man rare these days.

    Yes, a shame as he would have been an England regular for 10 years otherwise.

    A one club centre back, whose career was cut short by injury. Reminds me of Richard Rufus :-(

    Sad day for him, I'm sure but he did well to play as many games as he did. Also a sad day for Spurs and England.

    on the other hand you could argue that no one else would've touched him on his wages with his injury track record

    agree though great player (when fit) and would've been an England mainstay for many years.
