If we'd appointed him everyone would be going on about how great he is. Fantastic comedian, good actor, good works for charity, decent bloke. Let's not embarass ourselves.

Blinding achievement with the marathon running. But for comedy value he to me is like Russell Brand, unfunny.

Very funny and insightful comedian. I like the fact he's comfortable and brave enough to be himself. A bit jealous palace have him and we are stuck with davidson.

They also have Mark Steele, Kevin Day, Jo Brand and Neil Morissey (with exception of Steele, not quite so jealous about these). There must be something about Palace that attracts comics.

Give youselves some credit too, being comfortable & brave enough to be openly Charlton.

The thinking mans comedian. Must say I am disappointed about the news but guess he has been doing a lot of work for charity lately and decided to carry it on

Well Palace are a very funny club so the two go hand in hand. For the record, Jo Brand is a colossus of a bloke and I wouldn't mug him off to his face.
