Why does CL infuriate or float your boat?

Apart from the fact we are all Addicks of course (excluding our regular visitors from lesser teams...)
The diversity of opinion.
Illustrated for me by the fact that we have on the one hand a "Carry On esque" thread titled "Crumpet" and of course the staple "Would Ya's"
and then a thread dedicated to self righteous indignation or bored indifference to a young goalkeeper of limited intelligence using the word "Hollocaust" in his tweet.
Long may it continue.

Makes me wonder if other fans forums come anywhere near the eclectic nature of our threads! I for one love my fellow Lifers. Even the moaners.0

My boat does tend to float over the waves of infuration.
As the two Bobbies were wont to sing:
Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy......

Gets up me nose: Like most forums, good points are lost due to bad grammar and miss-reading (including mine on both counts). Also, some posters try a bit too hard with their interlectial humour and fall flat on their faces imo. Also, do some members have more than one account?
Floats me boat: In general, most people on here seem pretty genuine and a good bunch.0 -
.......and it's well run!
; )0 -
Good: Very well run, fairly unique, (as often mentioned) diversity, good site design, some very funny posts, some hilarious arguments, input from knowledgeable insiders, hearing old-timers' stories, reading posts that tap into your own personal memories (any time Selhurst games are mentioned for me, as we were fairly isolated as supporters back then)
Bad: Spelling (at least, the idea that grammar doesn't matter when it makes a probably intelligent poster look like a child), know-it-all/ humourless replies, exaggeration or tongue-in-cheek comments taken too literally/ personally/ seriously and.... cliques! And people moaning about the bad stuff!!0 -
Well there is always one way to find out there is naff all Charlton transfer news going on because of when all of those dry topics are up at the top of the forum..

It infuriates my boat0
-
Under bad: any post that has "you know it's the close season when..." in it. Including this one.0
-
Some people are so delicate, some always doom and gloom and with some it's only their opinion that counts but other than that it's all good0
-
Bad: RIP Threads
Good: Everything else0 -

Infuriates: When people slate first time posters for trying to start a new thread that was already discussed a week/3 years earlier.....or when they question their Charlton credentials.
Loves: The amount of knowledge and information offered up when posters ask questions like best pub in Brixton etc0 -
Gotta agree with the RIP threads. I often wonder, did those writing on them ever bother to tell the person in question how they felt before they died?

Similar reason as to why I watch the Jeremy Kyle Show0

Floats the boat.
Can't find much fault with it. The only internet forum I use.0 -
Like: The vast array of knowledge displayed on a variety of subjects and the good humour (mostly) displayed between posters.
Dislike: The vociferous totalitarian minority which seeks to stifle debate via patronising sneering or outright insults.
Has the effect of a red rag to a bull on me though and makes me "dig in."0 -
Nearly a year since the riots thread. It was, in the face of awful heavy duty chite, one of the most magnificent threads ever, and held within it a real sense of community.
I am of course infuriated if anybody dares to disagree with any word I type0 -
I enjoy CL, for the reasons given. Always a bit disappointing when a fellow Addick shows themself up by their bad taste, for some reason I expect better, but 99% on here are more decent than not.0
-
I agree with Algarve 99% are OK. Dont much like the swearing or all the in jokes of the "in crowd" that nobody else has a clue what's going on and whilst funny to a few is so boring to the majority.Algarveaddick said:I enjoy CL, for the reasons given. So you're actively looking for someone less attractive than you? InterestingValleyGary said:good: Im the best looking person on here

Good - it helps in relation to the insatiable desire for news, gossip and debate on everything and anything related to Charlton. We are malnourished in terms of coverage. Very interesting and amusing posts. The views of those at away games are particularly valued and the threads from RedMidland and Paddy are tremendous. Factual updates about the club's affairs
from those who are better informed than the great unwashed (such as me) are also very interesting.
Bad - posters jumping on each other in a petty manner. There is also, from time to time, an element of pomposity, high-handedness and self-aggrandisement.0 -
I'm a big fan of the RIP threads - if I'm reading it I know it's not me.0
-
it infuriates me that other posters get infuriated when other posters post a comment that is infuriating.

Good: I enjoy the way that mass hysteria can break out and then melt away into the background as if the event never happened.
Poor: Absence of porno0 -
