    I wouldn't have liked him as a manager. He's more dour than Curbs. At least Dowie talks a good game and brings some energy to it, even if nothing much has changed (yet) on the pitch.

    was the rumour true that the club told him we're signing Sidwell, and he said he didn't want him ?

    According to Murray in the programme, they offered Davies the job, and while he was thinking about it, Dowie resigned from Palace, interviewed him straight away as they could, and pulled the offer from Davies.

    Which would explain why Davies subsequently moved on-
