I'd be pleased if their prediction is more accurate this year. 13th would do us fine for this season.

    Millwall in the bottom three.

The over-reaction on here to FourFourTwo's prediction was a bit embarrassing. We've all got predictions horrendously wrong in the past.

It's actually a great read for anyone who's looking to learn about the game outside of what you see on Sky Sports News.

They even mention the auction of last years prediction that was autographed by the team.
  • Is it, although the new(ish) 'Performance' section is very samey. Would rather more interviews/articles.

I don't think their prediction last year was that outrageous, considering Powell had got nothing out of the players he inherited and the complete overhaul in the summer was a gamble with an unpredictable outcome

If we finish 13th then it's gotta be champagne all round (provided you're not on the antibiotics as I am right now grrrr).

Agreed. Considering we had dropped about half a division each season for 5 years then freefall could have very well happened.

Excellent 72 page pull out in todays Racing Post.

    Verdict - Charlton

Norwich and Southampton have showed it is possible to climb from League One to the Premier League in just two years but Charlton may have to settle for consolidation after a quiet summer in the transfer market.
  • Anyone got the whole prediction list?

BTW I would be very happy with 13th.

Although apart from that, agree with all teams above us 'on paper'
  • I'd take that right now.

Hmm, can we sing "Number one in South London" already.

I find it hard to believe we've finish above the likes of Hull (under Steve Bruce who've spent a fair bit), Ipswich and Derby though...

Palace in 20th seem a bit low to me also, and if Bristol genuinely have 1.5m to buy Baldock, then 23rd sounds low for them? Having said that, I have a great deal of difficulty predicting who will be the weak and strong teams this season, as a lot of clubs seem much of a muchness

Hull finished 8th last season and have bought well this pre season. 28/1 seems very big at present.

Warnock knows how to get sides promoted. He's bought a lot of players for Leeds and I think they will challenge.

Barnsley won't get relegated. They never do.

Think Palace will struggle if they don't sign anyone.

All that table tells me is how hard the Championship is to predict.

Although I think they've sold us a bit short - we have one of the best and most experienced managers in the league, with a chairman willing to back him. Not sure where they've got relegation from.

And I'm willing to bet each individual on here £100 - who reckons we will go down.

u found it embarrassing that our fans had a little reaction to four four twos prediction of us struggling in the bottom half and then we were basically top of the table since day 1 wow u r a nob

I wouldn't take any of it as gospel.
It's just one hack's personal opinion.

Just like you, he can't forecast the final Championship table - anymore than he can forecast this weekend's lottery results,

Enjoy seeing the season gradually unfold. It's much more interesting!
