As there are restrictions for parking during the remainder of the olympics, does any one know of some where to park, otherwise I will have to catch the train from sittingbourne.

There is a thread on this. But the general understanding (yet to be confirmed by CAFC), is that you can park for up to 2 hours & the restrictions end at 7pm.

Therefore you should be able to park from 5pm onwards.

    Saturday game though ?

TBF I'm still not clear if you can park on a road near the ground if there are no signs at all.

No,you cannot park any where near the ground.I have relation,s in Swallowfield Road and they said every road/street is no parking to non permit holders until the games finish.

Yes Im confused as well, CE.
Can anyone shed any light on the outcome, I though the club were appealing to the authorities to lift the ban on match days.

Mick Everett(cafc) said they are talking to Greenwich council about it,but so far they won't budge.

I'm just going to park in the pub car park on charlton village
  • This was discussed last month on this site, and I have to thank smiffyboy kindly gifted me a parking permit.
very generous and I owe him a pint, or even 2.
I am taking Mr and Mrs Saga lout from this site and another season ticket holder who drives up from the coast, so a full car.
I am travelling back from a wedding early for the first Saturday game, so god permitting and the M25 this allows me to attend, without being in an even more agitated state than I normally am. Thanks to the generousity of smiffyboy
