Billy Bonds in the starting 11 makes it a mid sixties programme. If you know the year John Hewie left, you can work out the year of the Portsmouth fixture.0

On the first one:
As the headline is: "Millwall haven't beaten Charlton for 35 years"
And the first line starts: "Not since March 1933"
It was tough, but not impossible to work out...

I was at that Portsmouth game, and I seem to remember outrage against our ex-player Frank Tocknell for doing a job on Ron Saunders, either a draw or a loss, can't remember, or remember when. 1964 ish?0

I'd guess 65 for the Portsmouth programme.
Interesting to see the Blagrove advert in the top one. I lived in the same road, when a child, as a Michael Blagrove who was a big Charlton fan.0 -

Think Pompey was Boxing Day '65: 2-2?0

Dennis Edwards and Frank Haydock playing for Pompey0

Remember it because we started off in the car for the return game at Pompey the next day and found ourselves sliding around on black ice before we'd got very far so my old man decided against it.0

I remember Alf Blagrove well, a Charlton Season Ticket holder who had a florist shop in Greenwich. His son Mike travelled to all the away matches on Lewis Coaches and like me , was a founder member of Charlton Rangers FC formed on an away coach in 1965 and still going strong.0

Yeah, definitely 78/79 season.0
-
Was the Oldham one the 'goal that never was' game?0
-
Don't think so Seth, as that involved Peter Hunt and 'King' Arthur and they'd both left by '78/79.0
