just 150 sold so far to Valley Golders and around 2,200 to go on sale tomorrow am to sst's with Stoke/Swindon tickets. Is it time to stop VG priority or is it time to stop worrying about it seeing as they snap up so few. Admittedly I've spoken to a few regulars who are not going due to price or not wanting to give Jordan £30 or the prospect of it being a bit tasty or all three.

I think large means that his Ma and dad wont go, being in there 70s or so they prob wouldnt wanna stand the whole game or have coins thrown! And remember the average of valley gold is 806!
  • Would be really disapointed if we didnt take our full allocation, especially after Joordans recent comments about the club and board, time to fight back

oh dude, i dont think this wont sell out, it will, just not to valley golders!

I'll be there anyway! and i reckon it'll sell out, some people will come out of the wilderness for this one i am sure.
  • I would like ot think so, and is a game i am always at, but after our last turn out there i think some people may just not bother with it

we will sell out no problems, but if we don't then there are serious issues with our away numbers that need addressing. £30 isn't cheap, but its not near the £45 - £48 we were charged elsewhere last season. There are no travel costs and its a Saturday afternoon game.

No excuses, and i'm pretty sure none will be needed.

  • like to think not.............
  • Will be there, one way or another. Its actually my first trip back to Uncle Rons since our last game there in May 1991.Back in the days when :
    3pm kick-offs were the norm
    £135k was a footballers yearly wage,not weekly
Cher was number 1 with The Shoop Shoop song
    Michael Jackson was black
    Simon Jordan was white
Lennie was still the guv (just)

Not convinced we will sell out though.

We'll sell out fine. There are 600+ at Swindon tonight on a wet Tuesday night, so no worries about Palace.

Ha ha ha - this made me laugh.

As usual there was the standard anti-Valley Gold debate, people wetting their pants about not getting a ticket - and what happens? Only 200 tickets are "snapped up" by those "greedy" "plastic" VG'ers.

Some people need to learn to calm down a bit.
  • Being a Valley Gold member myself i dont do it to que jump, i started it years ago when the club needed the many when we were at Sellout and Upton Valley. It would appear certain people are bitter about the fact Valley Gold members do get priorty, but should them people take a few seconds to think where the club would be if it wasnt for the fans who dug deep when the club needed it when they were on there knees

I'm the only Valley Gold in my family, so wasn't going to buy a ticket on my tod was I?????

It's only KB's boy & I that want to go, so am going to have to wait & see if there are any left after the s/t holders plus away stubs.

I really hope so, after my last return I do not want to miss another chance to revisit and feel smug in all that is Charlton & I mean that even if we win, loose or draw :-D

  • Thing is me and 6 mates are going to Palace but only 2 of us 7 are in Valley Gold. So the 2 don't want to get tickets on their own they're waiting til we're all eligible. I'd assume thats probably the case for a lot of people.

It is price for me, I am going to the Stoke game and the total cost of travel and ticket for the game is £46. So £30 for that lot is over the top, Jordan just taking the****.

    disagree Somerton.

The £35 for a Sunday TV game was a P take. This however, will be our most expensive league game of the season, but it will also be our biggest. Don't forget Palace fans have to pay the same as us.

The Jordan taking the p excuse i've heard a couple of people say just sounds like an excuse to me.

OK it's not a cheap ticket but this is a game where we must show in numbers - I couldn't care less that the money is going into their coffers, Charlton will get it back when they visit the Valley anyway.

It's time to show we can travel away with a large crowd without having to rely on Operation whatever.

Just don't take all the tickets yet as I can't get mine until Monday evening / Tuesday morning!
