Danny Nguessan- Worth a bid?

IMO , nguessan is the type of player that would be good in league one to an extent , however would be exposed at any higher level. After his time on loan I feel we should not bid for him for the following reasons:
Lucky- his time at us was plagued with luck, some of his touches , and especially his goal were clearly unintentional. Had these not come off would he have built up as good as reputation, I feel not
Money- why waste money in an area of the pitch that does not need particular strengthening, bwp , Kermorgant and Haynes are all better options, we're skint as it is
Fans reactions- many millwall fans described him as one of the worst strikers they have ever seen, his finishing is indeccisive and inn accurate.
For these reasons I feel Millwall would be the ones benefiting if we buy Nguessan

InSollyWeTrust - I think you've pretty much answered exactly why we're not going to buy him and why we shouldn't.
I think he benefited from being in a team that was top of the league and had the quality to dominate most games he played in.0 -
Not bullying, not my thing at all as people on here well know........but just saw the double take in what the poster wrote.

Exactly cafc Tom - he fitted into a team well , however I don't see him as a game changer0

Fair enough , doesn't bother me mate, friendly banter welcomeOggy Red said:Not bullying, not my thing at all as people on here well know........but just saw the double take in what the poster wrote.

Scored some decent goals. OK the first was a fluke but a cracking header at home v Orient I think when he headed home a Cook cross and a good goal up at Preston.
Wouldn't be my first choice as new striker but beggers can't be choosers.0 -
Yep , the header was quality, and the goal at Preston wasn't to badHenry Irving said:Scored some decent goals. OK the first was a fluke but a cracking header at home v Orient I think when he head home a Cook cross and a good goal up at Preston.

Oh dear, what has this started......
Neither are moving.0 -
Nguessan ? No thanks, good goal certainly v Orient, overall play ? average Div 1 player.
FFS he can't even get in millwall team !!!!!!0 -
We've signed 3 players to add to the squad, don't need another one.0

I think if we were going to sign him he'd already be here. That CP has chosen to look elsewhere suggests to me that he didn't want him. He did a job last year - and the one he was brought in to do - help us over the line but never looked fully fit and a tad over-weight. If I were going to sign him I'd have done so in June or July so he'd be slimmed down, fit and sharp for the season.0

As Scoham said we don't want anyone now that can't get straight into the first eleven.0
-
i thought we asked about him but millwall wanted too much money0
-
Greedy buggers , they wanted 100k +

Wasn't the deal to pay a fee and take on his contract - which you couldn't afford.InSollyWeTrust said:Greedy buggers , they wanted 100k +

I'm pretty sure it was only a small fee and to take on the remainder of his contract.
