[cite]Posted By: Chris_from_Sidcup[/cite]How much did we get for him?

3.9m euros (£2.63m) guaranteed, with a possible 1.2m euros (£810k ish) to follow.

So, about £3.45m if all goes well.

Irrespective of the ale-edged rumours, we got good money for him so happy with that.
It is irrelevant whether we paid £100k or £4M last yeat - after that he was a player on our books like any other .... and if you get an offer that exceeds his value to the club then you gladly accept.

After Wigan away last year where he couldn't head the ball and gave away 2 goals I had written him off...explains a lot he was probably pissed...thank god we got some decent money for him

[cite]Posted By: Chris_from_Sidcup[/cite]I'm probably in a minority of 1 but i actually think Bent has realised he's not that good, no-one wants him, and he can be an asset in this division. I'll get my coat.

Interesting quote. certainly playing better than expected.

re: Diawara - I didn't like him - always thought he was over-rated. But having seen McCarthy......???????
