I was told last night that former keeper, Rob Eliott is currently in the process of buying a new house in Higham (just outside of Rochester, for those who don't know where it is) for just under £1m.

However, he has no immediate plans to move back down south and this is for his future.

Can't be doing too bad for himself. Good luck to the bloke I say............................

Yer I don't mind. I feel Hamer is better and if Elliott is happy to sit in the stands and play reserve football then fair enough.

Probably earns just under £500k a year so probably is a decent investment.

Did he used to live in Medway? Always seems like he is talking about it on Twitter, thought he was from Greenwich

What a stupidly small pool table.

Shame squatter's rights are going out this weekend, if he's not even living there I could have snuck in!

That's a lot of house for £1m. Not to my taste bt not bad at all

Fair play to him - cliched though it may be it IS a short career and its refreshing to see a player thinking of his future rather than just pissing it up the wall

  • My house is bigger than that and has a more homely look (in other words it's a right mess).

I'd be happy to be 3rd choice goalie for 2/3rds that money - 2 problems: I'm rubbish in goal and I'm in my 50s!

Thats a massive amount of land / house for less than a million.

In some parts of Esher round my way you would get a terraced house for that.

Is that a big games room or a very small snooker table?

Not if you have serfs sweating over the cooker for you and your missus! ;-)
  • Used to work with his uncle Dave....unfortunatly passed away a few years back....was very proud when Rob made it to the first team.
  • Shows a lot of foresight for the future buying a house on a valley express route...

There ain't many houses in Higham for a million, for sure they're nice houses.... more likely Shorne.
  • My nan lives in Higham but this looks more Shorne to me. You drive past some stunning houses on the way from the A2 to Higham.

Nothing quite so grand I'm afraid. Just your run-of-the-mill 8 bedroom stately home.

I think the transfer window has drained the sense of humour from some............................................

Find a single thread where I have slagged off Green and I'll buy you your very own castle......................................I'll even name it knobhead towers in your honour
  • This thread was nothing to do with green but you brought him into it . That's a castle you owe me , call it old bould head towers.
  • should've stayed at charlton to get experience blah blah blah.

Exactly , everyone pulls Parker up on it but I make both Parker and Elliot right take it why you can cos it may not be on offer tomorrow

  • No Krispy Kreme room?
