How many of you were NOT going to renew until the club announced the free season ticket offer if we go straight up.

I for one was renewing anyway in fact i renewed the day they took applications

  • I would have to completely fall out of love with Charlton not to renew.

For me, its all about seeing the family, taking mates, having a beer etc etc.

Cant see me ever not renewing to be honest.
  • to be honest, i wouldn't've renewed.
i would've still gone to some home games but would have gone to more away games.

I was always going to renew. But I think I've got the best seat in the house; last row on the centre of the east stand just in front of the exec boxes.

    Was always going to renew.

The free ticket offer was a red herring really because in my opinion getting back will be hard for us even though I regard Pards as the best manager we could realistically have after Curbishley's departure.

In five years or so when we are still in the Championship or worse people might finally acknowledge the magnificent job Alan Curbishley did to get us into the Premiership and keep us there.

Would always renew, anyone who only did it for the deal on offer is not as loyal a fan as they think they are, probably one of those Premier League fans we no longer have.

don't start me on Curbs. Half the reason we are where we are now is down to him. He should have gone at least two seasons earlier in my opinion. On Saturday, most ineffectual player : Ambrose. A Curbs buy. And his last splash of the cash ? Marcus Bent. I rest my case.

We were always going to renew anyway - reguardless of the offer!

Our love is for Charlton - not what league we are playing in...........

It made a difference for me and Mr Weegie - it's quite a commitment having a S/T when you live 500 miles away, and we may not have renewed, safe in the knowledge that we'd be more that likely to be able to get tickets for any matches we could attend.

Mind you, it would still have been a hard decision emotionally not to, and the offer meant it never came to that. If we're still in Championship next year, though, I don't think we will renew, especially not to line the pockets of a dodgy Russian or Nigerian.

And don't anyone dare call us plastic ;-)

Ive been a season ticket holder since the return to the valley - prior to that there was never really a need. But I will seriously consider not to renew next season if we are still in this league. This is not because I wont be going to the valley but because I tend to miss several games during the season so its the cheaper option.

Definitely. It's just an annual cost like the bills for other essentials; water, electricity etc. A freebie would be v welcome if it happens, and the deal appears to be a shrewd, well-considered piece of marketing, as it surely made a difference to those who were undecided.

I wasn't going to renew but did it.

It's a good job you can't cash them in, I've never known people so down after 2 league games.
  • Would always have renewed.

Added with a touch of Post Traumatic Kish Disorder - a potentially fatal mix!
