Which pub will you be going to on 1st September? Would be good to get a large Charlton turnout in one pub.

Will CAFC-Bourne be there, cos I might be a bit worried about roving the streets of South London with Danny Dyer in the group!

Be careful if you are drinking around london Bridge. Last time we were at Scumland and the other lot were at home, the bushwackers were very active in and around the London Bridge pubs.

for various reasons, i think it would be a lot more sensible if pub meets for this one were done by whisper, email, phones etc.

To many factors at play here sadly.

A few of friends of mine were having a quiet beer in a pub in London Bridge on Saturday when out of nowhere all hell broke loose,
2 big groups of lads having a massive tear up, bar stools, bricks through windows, all the normal punters had to hide out the back of the pub.

My mate said he thought one group Millwall.

Not nice for the women and kids who got caught up in it.

What's wrong with getting to somewhere early in Norwood, and taking it over?

There is an interesting combination of condemnation of Millwall's worse antics and bravado of how Charlton are the tough guys in the Palace/Charlton state of things on this site.

I don't like Palace, but my thoughts don't immediately turn to inciting a load of football agro by giving it the large. This fixture feels to me like it is drawing out the worst in a lot of people on both sides. Banter yes, violence no. This is not directed at anyone in particular, just an observation of the tone of quite a few posts.

Well said Sco, i think a few people may be in for a rude awakening.

As said before, better to keep pub meets etc for games like this off public boards, as it can easily get mis-interpreted.

we all know the people who post on this board are generally not the type to get involved.

it's just a bit of banter, let's not take this too seriously.

"it's just a bit of banter, let's not take this too seriously. "

Exactly. I few threads on this and other message boards have made it sound as though people have something to fear in Norwood - I think a few posters are now marely trying to get a bit of "swagger" back into the Charlton support.

I heard you were giving Danny Dyer a call to get him along to film it?

We have our own Danny Dyer to bring along anyway !

I'll see you in there then as that's my matchday pub. It's changed hands a couple of times since you were last in there, and has been no away fans for the last 2 years.

I tried to find out what the policy is going to be on the 1st, and there are various rumours ranging from all pubs being closed before and after the game (as they were for brighton) ranging to a far more likely all pubs being closed after the game for a couple fo hours.

Either way South Norwood will be crawling with Idiots looking for a row and Police preventing this from happening.

A usual rule of thumb for visiting teams is they get the the weatherspoons in south norwood and thornton heath.

I think AFKA is right though your far better off sorting this out on email and whispers.

Has he got his own camera, or has WSS stolen it for his naughty vids?
