fence decision..

I have 10 panel sections, do I have 2 (or 3) at each end at full height, with the middle four slighly lower but with 1ft trellis, to allow more light? Rather than all 10 full height?
If so do I go for 2 (just under 4m) or 3 (over 5m)
kids play area is 5m at back, deck is 4m at front (by the house)

6ft right along the garden with trellis on top, higher if possible.
Higher the better0 -
have kick board to take it to full height, soz missed that out0

I'm sure you have about 8 fence discussions on this board already Razil? can't believe you're asking for advice about a fence, i thought you were the expert?!0

he he, sadly not, I think its because I'm outsourcing the labour on this, it's created a disconnect in the creative process..0

Depends on the neighbours. I paid for a huge fence with a trellis on top for the first half of the left hand side of my garden, even though it's the neighbour's boundary. I did it cos he was a fairly 'lively' character who liked a drink. He has since moved and some even worse people have arrived. All praise to that fence.1

is this a portable fence to keep out the riff raff as the Trust makes its way around various watering holes in SE London for its meetings?0

its an older bloke who is pretty quiet, but whinges a bit0

I'd have them all the same height0

Pictures of my fence. A lot of wear and tear from idiots as our fence is on an alley. So I put up a fence which could take some punishment and give some back.

Same height all along - you dont want a mish mash and you will always be thinking 'the ball would not have gone over next door if that panel was a little higher'

It will be a nice garden now it is secure and private. I intend to create three levels (lots of soil/dirt to shift first). Unfortunately Rusthall is wide of the mark I live in the leafy quiet suburbs of strood!steveizz said:
